Megan K. Barclay, MSPT, OCS
Megan has over 20 years of experience practicing as a physical therapist in orthopedic and sports medicine. Treating patients in New York City, the Hamptons, and Westchester and has toured with specialty cases around the world. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The College of the Holy Cross in 1997, Megan received her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College in 2000. She is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Since 2000, Megan has enjoyed specializing in orthopedic/ sports medicine treating Olympic athletes, and world class ballet dancers, musicians, tennis professionals and has worked with highly ranked amateur athletes in squash, golf, fencing, rowing, soccer, football, basketball and lacrosse. In 2005, Megan began consulting for Wellgate for Women (http://wellgateproducts.com/) a company that manufactures orthopedic supports exclusively for women. Since then, she has focused on gender differences in orthopedics injuries, from incidence to treatment. Megan has appeared on TV and has been featured in and has published numerous magazine articles related to orthopaedic injuries.
In her spare time, Megan enjoys rowing with Row America Rye and playing sports with her son and daughters while teaching them how to have fun while staying active and injury free.
