Megan K. Barclay

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The College of the Holy Cross in 1997, Megan received her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College. Over the past ten years, Megan has enjoyed specializing in orthopaedic/ sports medicine.  Megan has toured with world class ballet dancers, tennis professionals, golfers and has worked with highly ranked amateur athletes in field hockey, squash, rowing, basketball and lacrosse.  In 2005, Megan began consulting for Wellgate for Women (http://wellgateproducts.com/) a company that manufactures orthopaedic supports exclusively for women.  She has been featured in or published articles related to orthopaedic injuries in More, OK!, Shape, Physical Therapy Products, PT In Motion magazine.


Megan’s continuing education certifications include ART: Active Release Technique, Kinesio Tape, MAPS: Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminars SIJ Pelvis, MT-1, MT-2, MT-3, MT-O, PPAB: Practical Programs for Applied Biomechanics Gait Analysis Level I & II.   She subscribes and regularly reads Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy (JOSPT), The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (JBJS), and The Journal of Manual & Manipulative Therapy (JMMT).  Megan has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 1998 and is currently a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Therapists (AAOMT).


In 2009, Megan founded the Race for Rehab to benefit the Achilles Track Club and volunteers as a member of the Friends of Cornelia Connelly Center advisory board. In her spare time, Megan enjoys playing squash and tennis, running marathons and participating in triathlons across the U.S.
